OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2014. Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Andrian Candu met the members of the Foreign Investors Association (FIA). Within an informal discussion, the sides tackled issues of common interest related to improving the business and investment climate in Moldova, as well as to an increased dialogue between foreign investors and Economics Ministry, the Economics Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Andrian Candu appreciated the work of the Foreign Investors Association and mentioned that he knew it quite well, having previously worked in the Pricewaterhouse Coopers Company and being a member of the Board of Directors of the Foreign Investors Association.

He also expressed the Economics Ministry’ willingness for these meetings between ministry and FIA to become regular, both sides sharing one common goal - to attract more foreign investors to Moldova.

Andrian Candu also called on FIA members to come up with proposals to improve the policies and notify the ministry whenever circumstances that could harm the business climate arise.

For their part, the members of FIA gave assurances that they would be happy to continue to support the Economics Ministry in creating an attractive investment climate, particularly in the context of the new relation between Moldova and the European Union, achieved through signing the Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement.
