OREANDA-NEWS. United Metallurgical Company (OMK Closed Joint Stock Company, based in Moscow) has opened its own Engineering and Technology Center (ETC) in Ufa. This is OMK's second ETC; the first one is operating in Vyksa (in the Nizhny Novgorod region).

The OMK team of designers and technologists at the Ufa ETC will work on block-module solutions and projects for producing special field construction equipment for oil and gas deposits. The first pilot examples of the new products will be produced at Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant and the Trubodetal factory in 2015.

“The new Engineering and Technology Center will enable OMK to develop and actively launch new types of products for the field construction of oil and gas deposits. The center will make it possible to provide comprehensive solutions for clients in the oil and gas industry,” said Igor Voronin, Director of the Pipeline Valves and Fittings Division at OMK.
