Introducing Sharp Booth at PVJapan 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. Sharp Corporation will take part in PVJapan 2014, a comprehensive, international trade show for the solar-photovoltaic industry to be held by the Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association from July 30 to August 1 at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center in Koto Ward, Tokyo. Sharp's exhibits will include energy-smart lifestyle solutions made possible by cloud storage battery systems and other technologies.
Exhibit Highlights
1. Home Energy Solutions
Under a theme of 'Smart Energy Solutions', Sharp will display cloud storage battery systems, cloud HEMS (Home Energy Management System), and solar power systems as ways to use energy effectively in the home. Sharp will also display a V2H (Vehicle to Home) system that makes effective use of energy every day, even during power failures, for an energy-smart lifestyle.
2. Residential Solar Power Systems
Sharp will exhibit its high-efficiency BLACKSOLAR single-crystal solar modules. A corner-type module released this May can be fitted onto hipped roofs to boost overall installation capacity.
3. Commercial Solar Power Systems and Building Material-Integrated Solar Modules
1) Mega-solar solutions:
A video will illustrate Sharp's EPC business covering the design and construction of mega-solar power plants, as well as its servicing and maintenance operations.
2) Building material-integrated solar modules:
Under a theme of 'Our Module Lineup Expands PV Installation', Sharp will display see-through solar modules that can be installed in a number of applications, including balcony railings and windows. Sharp will also exhibit prototype dye-sensitized solar cells that can be used as colorful building materials for wall surfaces and interiors.
4. Global Expansion of Sharp's Energy Solution Business
As reference, Sharp will display an energy management system that utilizes storage batteries. Under development in the United States, this system optimally controls storage battery operation in order to reduce the amount of electricity purchased during peak electricity consumption hours, thus helping to reduce overall electricity costs.
