OREANDA-NEWS.  July 22, 2014. In the course of opening the event, the Deputy Minister of economy Tudor Copaci said that today 95-96% of the energy resources of Moldova imports and biomass will be a great alternative that will reduce energy dependence of our country.

Tudor Copaci said that although we initially the way, we have great prospects. Now in Moldova, according to the Deputy Minister, about 115-120 of manufacturers of solid bio-fuels exist in the country. However, as noted by the organizers of the forum, at the moment there are a number of tasks in the field of bio-energy in Moldova: it is necessary to promote loyal competition between the producers, set prices depending on the quality of bio-fuels, as well as to raise the level of culture of consumption of bio-energy.

As Tudor Copaci noted, the forum is a platform for the discussion of strategies and plans for the development of bio-energy in order to create a new energy market of Moldova. As InfoMarket informed before, less than 2 years in Moldova solid bio-fuel production in Moldova has increased by 10 times - up to 160 thousand tons per year. According to the data of the project "Energy and biomass in Moldova", by the present time each of the enterprises of the industry produces, have on average enough bio-fuel to heat about 30 agencies.

Modern systems running on biomass were installed in more than 130 schools, medical and community centers and villages across Moldova. Thus, more than 37 thousand people, which heated their homes with bio-fuels, reduced their heating costs by 30%. At the same time, National Institute of Standardization and Metrology took about 37 European standards in the field of solid bio-fuels.

About 300 entrepreneurs have received knowledge and skills necessary to run and manage the business for the production of bio-fuels.
