OREANDA-NEWS. July 22, 2014. The government approved a draft amending the law on public associations, law on foundations, law on employers and trade unions, the government’s communication and media relations department has reported.

Under the new amendments, an association could be set up with at least three members. At the same time, the document provides for enhancing transparency of their work, so that the norms on advertising the association’s activity should be stipulated in the statute, presentation of a yearly work report only by the public associations who got the status of public utility or received public funds in the year before, etc.

The draft comes from the government’s action plan for 2014 and is meant to adjust the legal framework on the activity of non-commercial organisations to international norms, as well as to remove errors and gaps from legislation.

The document is to be discussed in the parliament.
