OREANDA-NEWS.  July 22, 2014. Swedbank offers its customers a new modern opportunity – opening a temporary account with the electronic identification or eID card provided that its embedded eSignature is activated. Temporary accounts are opened for depositing the equity capital necessary for founding a company. Now, Swedbank customers will be able to save their time as it is no longer necessary to go to a bank branch to open the temporary account.

“Time is money – the majority of entrepreneurs will agree, especially today when the pace of life and business is so fast. More and more customers prefer to do their day-to-day banking where it's convenient for them and when they have time for it, instead of trying to squeeze in a visit to the bank. With this in mind, we will continue actively strengthening our business services with new functionalities, many of which will entail use of the new official identification document – the eID card. The eID card has all the potential to become a safe universal key to a vast array of virtual services. Importantly, when we collect our new eID card, we should remember to activate its embedded eSignature,” says Beate Krauze, the Head of Cash Flow and E-Products Department at Swedbank.

A temporary account can be opened remotely by the company founder or their authorized representative who is a registered user of the Swedbank Private Internet Banking and has the eID card with the eSignature function enabled for electronic signing of documents.
