OREANDA-NEWS. Russia's “financial credit in the amount of USD 450 million” was transferred to the central budget of Belarus on July 9, 2014, in accordance with an intergovernmental agreement signed January 31, 2014, the Finance Ministry of Belarus said in a report.

As previously reported, Russia's Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on December 26, 2013 that Russia would provide a U.S. USD 450 million 10-year loan to Belarus at a 4% interest rate from the Russian budget. Siluanov reiterated that Russia would provide Belarus with a total of USD 2 billion in credit support in 2014.
