SME Bank: Share of SME-Exporters in Russia Is Less Than 1%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2014. The Analytical Center of SME Bank (Vnesheconombank Group) has made a research on credit needs of export-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises under the SME Bank’s Program.
The research covered 1.5 thousand SME-exporters or presumably 10-11% of all export-oriented SMEs.
The research shows that SMEs-exporters contribute only 0.4% to Russian export. The study has also found that only 22% of interviewed SMEs require long-term loans. The majority of small and medium enterprises are interested in export trade finance.
