OREANDA-NEWS.  After the tragic plane crash in eastern Ukraine, charter airline Small Planet Airlines states that the company's flights from airports in the UK and Italy have never operated through Ukrainian territory.

Small Planet airlines will continue scheduled flights as usual. The company clarifies that it has operated flights through Ukrainian airspace only from Lithuania and Poland, but these routes were changed immediately to bypass Ukraine’s territory from the western side.

“We always have a few alternative routes for diverting our flights, so these changes should not have any effect on the flight schedules. At present, we do not use Ukrainian airspace any more and we are not going to so in the immediate future.” says Vytautas Kaikaris, director of Small Planet Airlines.

In these circumstances, Small Planet Airlines does everything necessary to ensure maximum safety for passengers.
