OREANDA-NEWS.  Sergey Goncharov has been appointed Deputy CEO for Technical Development of Joint Stock Company Freight One, acting in the said position since February 2014.

Sergey Goncharov was born in Sochi in 1972. In 1991 he was qualified as an electrical technician at Leningrad Electromechanical College of Railway Transport, in 1996 he graduated from V.N. Obraztsov Leningrad Institute of Railway Transport Engineers with a degree in Railcars, and in 2007 he graduated from the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration with a degree in Economics.

For over 17 years, Mr. Goncharov worked at the Oktyabrskaya Railway (OKT), starting his career in 1996 as a rolling stock mechanic. From 1999 to 2006 he worked as a chief engineer and then the head of the railcar depot of the OKT Vitebsk Branch. In 2006 he became head of the OKT Rolling Stock Service. In 2012 he took office as head of the Rolling Stock Department of the Central Directorate of Infrastructure, a branch of JSC Russian Railways. In January 2014, he joined Freight One as Deputy Chief Engineer.
