Deficit of Trade Balance of Moldova with EU Deceases by 3,8%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2014. According to the National Bureau of statistics, at the same time, Moldovan exports to EU amounted to USD 521,9 million (53.8% of total export), increase by 22.5% compared with the same period in 2013, however, the import of goods to Moldova from the EU countries increased by 8,2% - up to USD 1 billion 012,5 million, accounting for 48.3% of total imports.
In the first 5 months. 2014, the largest volume of Moldovan exports to the EU in Romania made up USD 165,2 million, which is by 9.4% more than for the same period in 2013, followed by Italy - USD 121, 1million million (+90,8%); Germany - USD 55.1 million (+38.2 percent); Great Britain - USD 42,3 million (+4,3%); Poland - USD 27.2 million (-20,7%); Bulgaria - USD 18.4 million (+79,3%); France - USD 18 million (+16,1%); Greece - USD 14.7 million (-3%).
The largest volume of import to Moldova from the EU in the relevant period accounted for Romania - USD 293,4 million (+16.8 per cent).
Then follows Germany - USD 176.1 million (+16.2 percent); Italy - to USD 147.7 million (+17,5%); Poland - USD 52,9 million (+3,9%), Austria - USD 48,6 million (and 13.8%); France - USD 46.6 million (-3,1%); Hungary - USD 38.6 million (-7,8%); great Britain - USD 31.1 million (+26%), Bulgaria - USD 26.7 million (-23%) and the Czech Republic - USD 26.5 million (+3%).
