Norilsk Nickel Introduces HR Management System Based on SAP HCM
OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2014. Project goal is to improve operational and economic efficiency of HR management business processes. Introduction of SAP HCM (Human Capital Management Management) will unify and optimize HR recordkeeping, and automate personnel management and payroll accounting based on SAP single automated platform.
The first wave of SAP HCM implementation will cover Norilsk Nickel’s Head Office and Kola MMC. Start of system operation in the Head Office is scheduled for January 1, 2015, and for July 1, 2015 in the Kola MMC. At the initial stage it is planned to automate basic HR processes pertaining to each employee of the Head Office and Kola MMC: employment procedure, leave formalities and payroll accounting.
Larisa Zelkova, Project Supervisor and Deputy Director General for Social Policy and Public Relations notes that introduction of HR management system based on SAP solutions is a natural step in the implementation of Norilsk Nickel’s strategy aimed at improving the efficiency and optimizing all business processes. “The first project will cover one of the key components of any organization, HR management, says Larisa Zelkova, A great deal of work is ahead, not only in terms of application of SAP solutions, but also in terms of cultural transformation within the company and transition to the new standards of relations between an employee and the employer”.
