OREANDA-NEWS. July 17, 2014. The St. Petersburg City Government has approved a draft of the National Program “Socio-Economic Development of Saint-Petersburg” up to 2015-2020 based on large-scale blueprints of BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT (the Energy Consulting Group).

On June 23, 2014 the St. Petersburg City Government has approved and recommended to validate a draft of the National Program “Socio-Economic Development of Saint-Petersburg” up to 2015-2020. The foundation for this program was laid with large-scale blueprints "The elaboration and evaluation of methodological approaches to the formation and development of spatial economic zones for St. Petersburg" prepared by BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT (the Energy Consulting Group) according to an order of the Committee for Economic Policy and Strategic Planning of the City.

The draft of the National Program focuses on creation of favorable conditions for the sustainable socio-economic development of St. Petersburg and envisages the deployment of two sub-programs: "Streamlining the spatial planning system of St. Petersburg" and "St. Petersburg historic downtown heritage preservation and development".

Blueprints of BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT (the Energy Consulting Group) have laid the foundation for the sub-program aimed at streamlining the spatial planning system of St. Petersburg. Within the framework of the subprogram an urban planning documentation based on the General Plan of the City will be made, and the spatial resource effectiveness will be reviewed.

As well, the Deliverables of the Company have laid the groundwork for other Clauses of the Program Draft: main horizons and challenges in the socio-economic development of St. Petersburg, & priorities and objectives of the national policy focused on the national program implementation.

It is worthy of note that BALT-AUDIT-EXPERT (the Energy Consulting Group) participated in the elaboration of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of Saint-Petersburg until 2030. On May 22, 2014 an enactment on approval of this Strategy was signed by Georgy Poltavchenko, St. Petersburg Governor.
