OREANDA-NEWS. Metinvest-SMC, Metinvest Group's retail channel in Ukraine, opened retail warehouses in Kyiv region (Petrovske village) and in Mykolaiv.

The warehouses are situated at the sites of the company's existing warehouses, but focus on retail customers. They will fulfill small-batch sized orders for steel and render a number of additional services.

The retail warehouse at Petrovske has a total area of 960 m2. There is an overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 10 tons. The product range includes 120 steel product items from Metinvest Group's enterprises. The warehouses offer cutting services: flame cutting, arc cutting, press shears and abrasive wheel cutting, as well as engineering support to procure steel for simple metal structures. It is planned to fabricate these metal structures at the retail warehouse in the future.

The retail warehouse at the existing service metal center in Mykolaiv has a total area of 2,500 m2. It has an overhead crane with a lifting capacity of 12.5 tons. Total goods inventory at the SMC in Mykolaiv is around 4,000 tons with over 250 various product items. Retail buyers can purchase rebar, rounds, wire rod, strip, beams, channels, angles, round and shaped pipes, hot and cold rolled steel, galvanized products, corrugated sheet, etc. (minimum batch size from 1 meter). They can also receive cutting, packing and delivery services.

In addition to these retail sites, Metinvest-SMC launched a retail site at its service metal center in Brovary (Kyiv region) in November 2013 and opened a retail service metal service center in Kharkiv in March 2014. Metinvest-SMC's retail segment previously only had branches in Western Ukraine and Vinnitsa.

We sell products from Metinvest's enterprises at 18 metal centers and do our best so that our buyers can receive a rapid response service, convenient logistics, a broad product range and the opportunity to purchase steel from wagon batches to 1 meter. Our goal is to become the preferred supplier for all groups of our customers, and therefore we will continue establishing retail outlets in other regions of Ukraine."
