OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2014. Several regional branches of Beltelecom became winners of the Republican competition for the achievement of high levels of social and economic development and resource savings in 2013.

Among the telecommunications organizations for implementation of major targeted parameters of the prognosis of social and economic development by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 299 "On entering on the National Board of Honor of the winners in the competition for the best results in 2013" dated June 27, 2014 Minsk Branch and Grodno Branch of RUE Beltelecom were recognized. Minsk City Telephone Exchange Branch was recognized as the winner among the telecommunications organizations in terms of savings of fuel and energy, and material resources.

As noted at the opening ceremony of the Republican Board of Honor by the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Prokopovich, the distinctive feature of the current ceremony of the honoring the winners in the competition for the best results in 2013 is its holding on the eve of the 70 anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Piotr Prokopovich, and directors of national organizations and enterprises. Company Beltelecom was represented by the First Deputy Director General, Gennadi Melnikov, Director of Minsk City Telephone Exchange Branch, Eduard Belokursky, Director of Minsk Branch, Yuri Petruchenya, and Director of Grodno Branch, Victor Matveev.
