In frames of the in the International Industry Trade Fair INNOPROM-2014 the President of Baltika Breweries, Senior Vice President for Eastern Europe region at Carlsberg Group, Council Chairman of the Russian Brewers' Union Isaac Sheps took part in a number of official meetings, delivered the report on the technical regulation issues and met the brewers of the Ural region.

The International Industry Trade Fair INNOPROM-2014 covered a number of discussions of the global trends in innovations development, also the experts touched upon the actual issues in the Russian industry development. Isaac Sheps acted as speaker in the international conference "Implementation of the Customs Union Technical Regulation Requirements". The speech of the Council Chairman of the Russian Brewers' Union ran on the role of the industry branch associations and business-community in the development of the technical regulation.

"The key challenge in developing norms of technical regulation is finding balance between ensuring health and safety, environmental protection and eliminating barriers for business",- noted Isaac Sheps in his speech. "One of the most significant elements here is engaging the industry associations that represent interests of the business community. On the one hand, the state gets the opportunity to see the position of the industry as such associations represent the key market players. On the other hand, business representatives get the opportunity to voice their position to the government".

In terms of protecting the brewing industry interests Isaac Sheps finds it extremely important to continue the dialogues with the heads of the Federation constituent entities as well. On the 10th of July Mr. Sheps had a meeting with the Chairman of Sverdlovsk Region Government Denis Pasler and the Minister of Economy of the region Dmitry Nozhenko. Discussed were the issues of the current state in the brewing industry, development options for the regional brewing facilities and environmental and social projects implemented under support of the Russian Brewers' Union in the territory of the Sverdlovsk Region.

On the second day of the Exhibition Isaac Sheps took part in awarding the winners of the annual contest The Best Russian Exporter 2013. The contest was carried out by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation in various industries. For the ninth time Baltika Breweries became a winner as The Best Exporter in Industry Branch in the category of food industry (alcohol and non-alcohol drinks). The awards winners were determined based on the comparison of the participants' data on sales volumes, return, number of export countries, range of products.

A significant event during the visit of the Council Chairman of the Russian Brewers' Union Isaac Sheps to the Ural region was his communication with the executives of the brewing companies of Sverdlovsk region and Chelyabinsk region. At the meeting that has already become traditional the brewers discussed the current situation related to the draft law restricting the volume of the PET-package for beer, the probability of introduction of licensing of beer production and circulation and other initiatives of the authorities with regard to regulation of the brewing industry. The participants unanimously supported the efforts of the Union of Russian Brewers to protect the interests of the industry. In the opinion of Ilya Roitenberg, Executive of the Union of Brewers of Southern Ural NPO, the relations established in the professional community of brewers affect the development of the industry.

The Company's top managers took part in the INNOPROM business program of INNOPROM: Dmitry Vizir, Quality Management Director for Eastern Europe region of Baltika Breweries, was one of the speakers during the club of R&D directors “Innovations Management in the Company: from Pattern Models to Standardized Mechanisms and Competences”.
