OREANDA-NEWS. The upgraded helicopter Mi-2MSB made its maiden flight on the flying test complex. The Mi-2MSB helicopter is powered with upgraded fuel-efficient engines AI-450M with takeoff power up to 465 hp created jointly by Motor Sich JSC and SE Progress Ivchenko, new avionics and advanced control system. During talks with mass media representatives on occasion of the first flight of Mi-2MSB, Motor Sich president Viacheslav Boguslayev noted that work on creation of Mi-2MSB modification was carried out in a record-breaking time. As a result we have virtually new helicopter with new properties: lower noise level, which is very important for helicopter operation in European countries, higher lifting capacity and fuel efficiency.
