Shareholders of GCL Increase Ranks in Fortune 500
OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2014. The Fortune magazine announced 2014 global 500 companies. Both shareholders of GCL increased their ranks by one place, remaining firmly within the top 50. China National Petroleum Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CNPC)ranks 4th on the rankings in terms of revenue, while Assicurazioni Generali S.p.A. (hereinafter referred to as Generali) 48th.
Backed by Generali's experience in insurance business and the strength of CNPC and Generali, GCL has developed into one of the largest joint-venture life insurers in China over the past 12 years since establishment. Now, with a registered capital of RMB 3.7 billion and a total of RMB 40 billion in assets, GCL has set up more than 10 provincial branches and a total of 70 offices spread in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shenzhen, Liaoning, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Shandong, Heilongjiang.
