OREANDA-NEWS. Additional office of the Rostov-on-Don Branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company Branch in Taganrog concluded a contract of compulsory insurance of civil liability of the carrier for damage to life, health or property of passengers (OS GOP) with Avtokolonna 1423 OJSC. The company is one of the largest passenger carriers in the Region, with a fleet of 80 vehicles. It provides transportation for over 9 million people annually.

The insurance program provides for compensation for damage that may be caused to life, health or property of passengers. Pursuant to the applicable legislation, the limit of liability of the policy holder is RUB 2025 m in case of a passenger's death and up to RUB 2 m in case of injury and up to RUB 23,000 in case of damage to property.

Carriers are obliged to insure their liability to passengers pursuant to federal legislation. Federal Law No. 67-FZ of 14.06.2012 "On Compulsory Insurance of the Civil Liability of a Carrier for Causing Harm to the Lives, Health or Property of Passengers and on the Procedure for Compensating for Such Harm Caused during Passenger Transportation by Underground" came into force on January 1, 2013.

Avtokolonna 1423 OJSCwas established in 1955 and is one of the largest passenger carriers of in the Rostov region and the Russian Federation. The main activity of the enterprise is operation of motor (bus) passenger transport under a set schedule on urban, suburban and intercity routes.
