OREANDA-NEWS. LUKOIL Overseas (operator of LUKOIL's international upstream projects) has had a number of new management appointments.
Alexander Cornelius has been appointed Vice President for Production Services and Project Support. Sergey Suchok has been appointed Vice President for Production. Marat Salikhov has been appointed West Qurna-2 Asset Manager, added to his duties as Director of the Basra (Iraq) Branch of LUKOIL Mid-East Ltd. operating company.
Alexander Cornelius was born in the United Kingdom in 1947. He started his professional career in 1963 and obtained an Honors Engineering Degree at Strathclyde University in Glasgow in 1972. Mr. Cornelius continued to work on Engineering and Management assignments in the petrochemical industry before joining Chevron in 1982. In 2001, he became Vice President of Chevron Overseas Petroleum and in 2003 - General Director of Tengizchevroil (operator of the Tengiz oil field in Kazakhstan). Between 2006 and 2010, Cornelius held the position of Vice President for Refinery Operations at Chevron. Since 2013, he is Advisor to President of LUKOIL Overseas.
Sergey Suchok was born in 1971. He graduated from Perm State Technical University with majors in Mining Engineering (1993) and Management (2002). From 1989, he held labor-level, as well as engineering and technical, positions in the petroleum sector and beginning from 1995, he worked at LUKOIL enterprises in the Perm region. Mr. Suchok has been with LUKOIL Overseas since 2004. In 2008-2009, he worked in ConocoPhillips (USA) as part of a trainee program. He became Vice President for Production Services of LUKOIL Overseas in 2011.
Marat Salikhov was born in 1967. He graduated from Ufa State Petroleum Technological University with a major in Mining Engineering/Geophysics (1991) and has held various engineering and technical positions at LUKOIL in Western Siberia. Since 2010, Mr. Salikhov has been employed with LUKOIL Overseas as Chief Operating Officer of the West Qurna-2 project.
