OREANDA-NEWS. July 14, 2014. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made a working trip to Belynichi District, Mogilev Oblast. During the trip the head of state visited the cheese factory of Babushkina Krynka.

The head of state was informed about the social and economic development of Mogilev Oblast and the fulfillment of the President’s instructions to ramp up the output of meat and dairy products.

Alexander Lukashenko gave an instruction to allow free pricing in Mogilev Oblast one week later on an experimental basis in addition to allowing milk manufacturers to access the consumers.

“Let us agree that Mogilev Oblast will introduce free pricing and access of milk manufacturers to consumers,” the head of state said. Alexander Lukashenko explained that the measure will allow agricultural enterprises to decide which processing company should get the milk and on what terms without interference of the oblast authorities.

The President warned against creating conditions that foster corruption among the management of milk-producing enterprises. The President went on saying that in new conditions the relevant relations between milk manufacturers and milk-processing enterprises should be built purely on transparent market terms.

Alexander Lukashenko also urged to improve the technological framework at agricultural enterprises as it will help increase the output of milk at existing facilities.

The President reminded about his instruction to create an effective system for the distribution of managerial personnel in order to guarantee continuity and timely replacement. The President emphasized that the corresponding processes should be carried out without red tape. In this respect the head of state pointed out the special role of presidential aides, chief inspectors for Belarusian regions.

The Agriculture and Food Ministry was instructed to restore the volume of pork production which existed in the country before the African swine fever outbreak in Q1 2015.

The head of state also emphasized that it is essential to raise the efficiency the harvesting campaign this year: “Keep in mind that this year’s harvesting campaign will be militarily-minded like never before. The crops that have grown are superb and we have to gather in every gram.”

The head of state was told bout the operation of industrial enterprises in Mogilev Oblast, in particular, cement production companies. Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Piotr Rudnik suggested setting up a state-run industrial group Belarusian Cement Plant that will comprise the public joint-stock company Belarusian Cement Plant in Kostyukovichi and its branch in Klimovichi that makes limestone and forage chalk as well as two manufacturing sites in the town of Krichev. The Mogilev Oblast Governor suggested his first deputy Vladimir Kiselev, who used to run Belarusian Cement Plant, as the head of the new industrial group.

The head of state approved the relevant plans. “Good, he may start tomorrow,” the President said.
