OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2014. CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd. has recently won the bid for the civil works of Phase 3 (Stage II) of Meizhou Bay channel in Fujian Province, with a contract value of 386 million yuan and a construction period of 39 months.

With a full length of 11.86 kilometers, the project is an extension of the main channel of Meizhou Bay; after the project is completed, the designed elevation of the outer section (south of Point B) of the bay mouth will be -23 meters; and the designed elevation and slope of the inner section of the bay mouth will be -21.5 meters and 1:5 respectively.

After the project is completed, the navigation level of the main channel of Meizhou Bay will increase to 300,000t, thus the world's largest bulk carriers will navigate the channel safely.
