OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2014. The Chairman of State Corporation "Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)", Chairman of the Board of Directors of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) Vladimir Dmitriev, President of UAC Mikhail Pogosyan and CEO of Alenia Aermacchi Giuseppe Giordo visited SuperJet International (SJI) - a joint venture of the Sukhoi Aviation Holding Company and Alenia Aermacchi.

Vnesheconombank and its subsidiary - Export Insurance Agency of Russia (EXIAR) play a key role in establishing of an integrated system to fund international sales of Sukhoi Superjet 100. As part of a syndicate of international banks with the participation of export credit agencies EXIAR, SACE and COFACE, Vnesheconombank provided funding of deliveries to the first Western customer of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft – Mexican Interjet, the deliveries to which are performed by SuperJet International.

"For us, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 program is a landmark. VEB Group financed not only the production of fundamentally new for Russian aviation aircraft, but also provides a system of after-sales support in cooperation with our Italian and French partners, provides financing to buyers of this machine both domestically and abroad, using operational and financial leasing", - said Andrei Sapelin, First Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank.

During the visit, SJI CEO Nazario Cauceglia demonstrated the Training Center and the Supply Center of Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft. There are ninth, tenth and eleventh SSJ100 aircraft now being prepared in SJI facilities for delivery to Interjet. Nazario Cauceglia also reported that currently 344 pilots, 167 flight attendants and more than 1300 technical specialists have undergone training in SJI Training Centers in Venice and Zhukovsky.

"Today the product is not just a plane, it is an integrated solution for our customers, including an effective system of after-sales service and export sales support. Without the support of VEB and our collective work to create a competitive system of financing the sales, the success of the program would be impossible. It is very important that, together with VEB, we are creating an effective system to ensure competitive export of Russian civil aircraft", - said the President of UAC Mikhail Pogosyan during the visit.
