OREANDA-NEWS. July 11, 2014. Employees of various Norilsk Nickel enterprises serve as auditors after finishing special training courses at DuPont consulting company.

Over the course of three days auditors will inspect compliance with health and safety regulations at three Polar Division units: Oktyabrsky Mine, Norilsk Concentrator Plant and Nadezhda Metallurgical Plant; specifically checking for all documented process regulations, operation arrangement of mining and metallurgical equipment, issuance of shift targets to staff, briefings and work authorizations. Compliance with prescriptions received following the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological, and Nuclear Supervision inspection will be established as well.

Cross-divisional inspections carried out by a group of auditors representing various production units is a new initiative launched early this year, which brings impartial and objective inspections and situation updates that uncover all digressions in occupational health and safety compliance at enterprises and deliver suggestions for improvement. Cross-divisional inspections will be held regularly at all production units, company enterprises and Russian organizations of the corporate structure. By year-end the auditors will visit Kola MMC, Polar Construction Company, Norilsk Supporting Complex, Norilsknickelremont, and Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company.
