OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2014. Victoria Salamatina, Deputy General Director in Audit (Energy Consulting), introduced the HLB Russian Group, an association of independent members of HLB International in Russia, within the framework of the international partner conference in Chengdu (China), and highlighted the main investment areas of our country for Chinese partners.

The Conference held on June 20-23 in Chengdu, a Chinese town, one of the largest Asian economic and investment centers, has brought together over 150 representatives of HLB International Member Firms across the world, clients and prospects of HLB in China, as well as honorary guests. The event was attended by a representative of the Australian Stock Exchange, a member of International Valuation Standards Committee (IVSC), director of the Institute for Economic Policy of the Shanghai University, and others.

The choice of the town famous for almost 80% of the total iPad sales worldwide was selected by organizers on a reasonable basis. According to Robert Mandell’s survey (Nobel Prize Winner in Economics), Chengdu is just the right town which has become for the last few years as a benchmark of the Chinese investment climate. At the present time Chengdu is the main hub for liaison between China and Europe. That is why the matters of forging international investment relationships and the growth of the global Chinese influence on Western countries have sparked the keen interest of the audience and vivid discussions.

The attendees discussed the investment climate in China, the history and development of the investment liaisons, the core areas for investments, as well as the current economic policy of China focused on the brisk growth of western regions. One of the issues of the conference was aimed at investments to Russia.

Victoria Salamatina, Deputy General Director in Audit (Energy Consulting) informed the audience on the investment climate of Russia and underlined the main investment areas in terms of priority industries highlighted by Russia’s President during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum held in May 2014. Among these areas are mining, metallurgy, nuclear power industry, construction and high-tech. In the course of her speech, Victoria introduced as well the HLB Russian Group, its core services, key clients and possible ways for liaisons. The matter of personal liaisons, the crucial one for successful work in China, is tackled efficiently for Energy Consulting and the HLB Russian Group within the HLB network itself that connects partners from different countries for the implementation of joint consulting projects.

Victoria Salamatina, Deputy General Director in Audit (Energy Consulting): "Chinese people say that success depends on those individuals who know you. Due to this fact we assume to foster our relations with Chinese partners within the HLB network and we are ready to provide them with overall consulting support and assistance in joint investment projects between China and Russia. This year we have launched China Service Desk in Russia, a reference section on the HLB website designed to make easier all communications between clients and partners of the network who speak Chinese. This section contains personal contact details of our experts who speak Chinese and have a work experience with Chinese partners. We are sure that these steps will facilitate the fruitful development of our liaisons".
