Belarus' Foreign Debt Reduces 0.02% in May 2014 to USD 14.101bn
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' state foreign debt went down 0.02% on the month in May 2014 to U.S. USD 14.101 billion as of June 1, 2014 by the International Monetary Fund's Special Data Dissemination Standards, reads the website of the Finance Ministry.
The government's long-term debt accounted for 82.1% of the total foreign debt in May 2014 (82% in April 2014), the government's short-term debt for 3.1% (3.2%), and foreign loans to companies" against the government's security for 14.8% (14.8%).
In 2013, the foreign debt increased 7.4% to USD 14.6 billion.
Belarus' main creditors are the IMF, the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund, Russia, Venezuela, Germany, the U.S. and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
