OREANDA-NEWS. July 07, 2014. The corresponding decision was taken by the government at the session on Thursday. The Cabinet approved the increase of the minimum wage from October 1 up to 1 thousand lei.

According to the amendments, the minimum salary in the amount of 1 thousand lei is set for a full working program of 169 hours on average per month, or 5.92 lei per hour.

Raising the minimum wage was possible taking into account the dynamics of macroeconomic indicators. The law on state budget for 2014 provides a tool for application of the new provisions. To date, the minimum salary in the country amounted to 900 lei.
