OREANDA-NEWS. During a working visit to Tatarstan, a delegation from the Czech Republic led by Michal Hashek, Hejtman (Governor) of the South Moravian Region, visited KAMAZ (a member of State Corporation Rostec).
Besides the hejtman, the delegation included his deputy Roman Cely; Martin Klucar, Deputy Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic in the RF; and also Czech businessmen – Vladimir Plashil, Chairman of the Management Board of AO Alta Invest, a.s.; and Daniel Mьller, Head of Discrete Automation and Motion of ABB s.r.o. The purpose of the visit is to conduct negotiations on long-term cooperation. The guests plan to visit the engine plant, the press and stamping plant, the automobile plant and see the auto show in the Research and Development Centre of KAMAZ. They will also visit KAMAZ-Autosport Centre – the headquarters of the KAMAZ-master team.
The Czech Republic is one of the leading economic partners of Tatarstan – one of six Russian regions officially recognized by the Government of the Czech Republic as priority partners. Tatarstan is cooperating with the country in such industries as automobile production, medicine, petrochemistry, construction and implementing modern projects in the agricultural sector. Last April, Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Michal Hashek. At that time, the parties announced their mutual interest in the development of their further cooperation in business and in general between the regions.
During the return visit to Tatarstan, Michal Hashek emphasized that he had gladly accepted an invitation to arrive in the republic. “I’d like to note that the South Moravian Republic has the richest relations with Russia. I’ve arrived here with a representative delegation, and we will discuss concrete projects during our meetings in Tatarstan. In the first place, this will be about machine building,” the hejtman said.
