Production System KAMAZ: Full Reboot
OREANDA-NEWS. Today and tomorrow, KAMAZ (a member of State Corporation Rostec) is holding a strategic session of Production System KAMAZ (PSK) with the participation of OMCD managers from Daimler. The event will be conducted by the director general and top managers of OJSC KAMAZ, managers of the company’s factories and departments.
It should be recalled that this April Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, officially opened a new stage of the PSK development. By analogy with “rebranding” of Daimler’s production system – TOS+, KAMAZ’s “reloading” was named “PSK+”.
During the two-week strategic session, each participant (and each unit) will have to go deep into the root of changes, realize his or her role in the process, because the matter is about such conceptual plans as the necessity to change business by 2017 in view of the development of a new product and the Reengineering project. Director General of OJSC KAMAZ will focus on these issues in his address. The main point is that lean processes will run through literally every project of changes – from the smallest to the biggest ones. The managers will have to abstract away from stereotypes and look at old things with new eyes. Following the Go&See principle, the participants of the session plan to visit several plants and production units of OJSC KAMAZ, share opinions during a podium discussion. Two days of work will result in developing and signing short- and long-term plans of measures.
