OREANDA-NEWS. July 03, 2014. The benchmark testing of Euro - 5 diesel fuel has been successfully completed at "TANECO" Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex.

The testing has shown that the diesel fuel yielded by "TANECO" is better than certain Euro-5 standards by a number of values. In particular, it has demonstrated minimal sulfur content corresponding to 1 and 2.5 ppm (with 10 ppm allowable value). The ultra-low sulfur content and low levels of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons ("aromatics") are the backbone of unfailing car engine operation for many years.

The "TANECO" diesel fuel testing results and comparison it with the reference sample have also showed better driving performance of the engine: an increase in the maximum net power and the maximum available torque.

The tests were conducted at the central laboratory of fuels and oils of the JSC "KamAZ" Science and Technology Center. The main purpose of the tests was to assess the impact of the "TANECO" diesel fuel on the performance of "KAMAZ" (model 740.75 - 440) car engine. In addition to measuring control parameters the laboratory experts recorded in all the modes of operation the following mandatory values: maximum net power, maximum net torque, minimum specific fuel consumption, content of nitrogen oxides, carbon dioxide and cumulative hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases.

The studies performed have allowed making a conclusion that the KAMAZ (model 740.75 - 440) engine tested with the "TANECO" diesel fuel meets the requirements of power parameters, fuel efficiency and environmental friendliness.

The first stage of the combined hydrocracking installation of the "TANECO" Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex was commissioned in the mode of comprehensive testing in 2013.
In March 2014 JSC "TANECO" obtained the Rostekhnadzor conclusion of conformity to the technical regulations and design documentation. Also the permission was received to put these installations into operation and the state registration of "TANECO" ownership of real estate assets was obtained.

Thanks to the "TANECO" Complex where commercial production of clean Euro-5 standard diesel fuel is underway the retail sales network of TATNEFT will be fully provided with the Company's own oil products in the coming years.
