OREANDA-NEWS. Equipment is being installed on the first and the second power generation units.

OJSC MSU-90 are performing a number of important operations on the construction site of the LNPP-2.

On the first power unit in the turbine building, installation of the turbine set and high-pressure pipelines supplied by OJSC Silovyje Mashiny continues. At present, MSU-90 are installing some 300 tons of pipelines out of 1,200 tons that are to be delivered to the site. All in all, 2,700 tons of high- and law-pressure pipelines will be installed in the generator hall.

Installation of a polar crane is nearing completion in the reactor building, and preparations for tests thereof are being prepared. The tests are to take place next week.

On the second power unit, floor steelwork of the turbine building is being assembled. Two 42 ton truss units were assembled this week. The works are performed according to the time schedule. The company started the pre-assembly of the supporting truss, which is to be installed on the reactor pit. Installation supervisors of TYAZHMASH plant (Syzran) are managing the works.

Unlike the equipment for the first power unit, such equipment was first delivered from the plant element by element. The scheduled completion date of the installation and assembly works is July 15.
