Intensive efforts are being made to draft an integration development plan for Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, as well as the interactive development program for Beijing and Tianjin. This is a major national strategy to be put into implementation in the near future.

In this view, Tianjin Municipal Government invited top 100 enterprises and hosted a large-scale seminar on promotion of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's coordinated development in Tianjin during June 18-19, 2014. The aims of this seminar were to accelerate the opening-up and development of Binhai New District, to summarize the achievements and experiences of collaboration among key enterprises and Tianjin City, as well as to promote the industrial growth in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province by means of fully cooperating on a wider, deeper and higher basis. Secretary Sun Chunlan and Party Secretary Zhang Yi of CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and the other relevant officials were present at this event.

Upon invitation by Tianjin Municipal Government, President Guo Wenqing led a delegation and participated in this seminar. The delegation members held in-depth communication with the major officials of Tianjin Municipal Government and the heads of relevant governmental departments on matters of mutual interest, for instance: (i) industrial development of Tianjin City; (ii) the opening-up and development progress of major projects and Binhai New District; and (iii) the market exploration of MCC Group in Tianjin.

During the seminar, Guo Wenqing and his delegation members met with Secretary Sun Chunlan and Party Secretary Zhang Yi of CPC Tianjin Municipal Committee and Mayor Huang Xingguo of Tianjin Municipal Government. They held in-depth discussion on the policy support in relation to Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region's coordinated development, and the methods to participate in the economic and social development of Tianjin City. Guo Wenqing stated that, MCC Group and Tianjin City maintain a long-lasting closed partnership, both parties have established profound affection and friendship. With a more positive and proactive attitude, MCC Group will take part in the economic and social development of Tianjin City, combine the advantages of central enterprise and the development advantages and opportunities of Tianjin City, promote the mutual collaboration to step onto a new stage, and accelerate the fulfillment of the developing vision of “Focusing upon core businesses in building a better MCC”.

During the stay in Tianjin, Guo Wenqing spared time and conducted a specific visit to the jobsites of several works which were under investment and development by MCC Real Estate Group (MCC RE Group), for instance, the New Badali Qili Project in Heiniuchengdao Region, Tianjin Zhongji Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and the Xiangluowan Sinosteel Project in Binhai New District. Afterwards Guo held a cordial discussion with Lv Chunfeng, Chairman & Party Secretary of Bohai Iron & Steel Group, the topics covered exchange and cooperation between MCC Group and Bohai Iron & Steel Group, the development orientation and routes of Tianjin Zhongji Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

At the jobsite, Guo learned in details on the latest project execution and the development situation of the surrounding area, and spoke highly of the endeavor made by MCC RE Group for accelerating the project implementation. According to Guo, in view of the grand background for integrated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province, Tianjin City will enjoy a promising economic prospect and developing momentum. The New Badali Qili Project is situated at a perfect location with huge development value and marvelous prospect. With regard to the project development in the next stage, Guo requested MCC RE Group to: (i) make further improvement on the overall planning orientation, promote the diversified ownership program as per the principles which have been already fixed, and lay firm foundation for realization of satisfied investment benefit and prevention of risks; (ii) pay attention to the cost controlling during the project execution, and increase the benefit through cut-down of cost; and (iii) carry out in-depth research on the competitive environment of the regional market, enhance the operational competence (especially the construction efficiency) for the project, and improve the brand competitiveness of MCC RE Group in this area.

At the workshop of Tianjin Zhongji Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Guo Wenqing inspected the conditions of the relevant products and equipment, learned in details on the existing difficulties and problems encountered during the project implementation, and was debriefed on the working report. He pointed out that, the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region means not only a new round of development opportunity for Tianjin City, but also a major valuable chance for business growth of the equipment manufacturers in Tianjin. Guo requested Tianjin Zhongji to: (i) broaden horizon for innovative thinking, actively collaborate with the authoritative institutes and academician/experts, and endeavor to establish itself into the largest steel structure and equipment base in the north of China; (ii) undertake study on the types of steel structure and the market demand, build brand awareness, make continuous promotion on the improvement of the design and production level of steel structure, and intensify efforts to conquer difficulties; and (iii) carry out research on the matching issues of steel structure products and the actual projects, undertake in-depth cooperation on industrial chain, and create benefit and profit to the maximum extent. At meantime, Guo promised that MCC Group would offer essential support to Tianjin Zhongji in the fields of scientific research talents and technical R&D.

In addition, Guo Wenqing held cordial discussion with Chairman Lv Chunfeng and President Yan Zesheng of Bohai Iron & Steel Group on matters of mutual interest, for example, the mutual exchange and cooperation between both parties, the development orientation and route of Tianjin Zhongji. Guo mentioned that, in view of the overall excess capacity of steel industry, as well as the continuous sluggish operational performance of the steel enterprises, MCC Group conquered various difficulties and strived for self rescue. As a result, MCC Group has not only stepped onto the healthy development track again, but also achieved a powerful and continuous growing momentum.

According to Guo, MCC Group has been attaching great importance to the cooperation with Bohai Iron & Steel Group and the development of Tianjin Zhongji. He expected both parties to further strengthen communication and in-depth collaboration, promote friendship, jointly discuss the development plan and make continuous enhancement of the development level and quality of the enterprises. Lv Chunfeng extended gratitude to the long-lasting great support and assistance offered by MCC Group to Bohai Iron & Steel Group. He added that, Bohai Iron & Steel Group and MCC Group enjoy a long cooperative history and a profound collaborative foundation. Bohai Iron & Steel Group really values such hard-won cooperation friendship, and has been paying keen attention to the advancement of MCC Group. Lv stated that, basing upon the principles of mutual beneficial cooperation and complementing each other's advantages, Bohai Group would like to further enhance the communication and liaison with MCC Group, with the aims to push forward the mutual collaboration and the development of Tianjin Zhongji onto a new height.

The block of the New Badali Qili Project in Heiniuchengdao Region was taken over through auction by MCC RE Group on May 28, 2014. The jobsite is located along the line of Heiniuchengdao in Hexi District of Tianjin City, to the west of Neijiang North Road, to the north of Heiniuchengdao, to the east of Hongze Road and to the south of Dagu South Road. As per the planning, this block shall be utilized for residential building, commercial finance building and kindergarten, with the total planned floorage area of no more than 353,500 square meters. The project scope covers residential buildings, urban apartments, commercial and office buildings, and various supportive facilities.

The transferable land in this block covers an area of 86,836.1 square meters, including a residential land area of 54,760.5 square meters, a commercial finance area of 27,842.8 square meters and a kindergarten area of 4,232.8 square meters,.

Tianjin Zhongji Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was jointly established by China 20MCC Construction Group (20MCC Group) and Bohai Iron & Steel Group on January 10, 2011, with a registered capital of RMB 900 million yuan. The headquarter of the company is situated in Xiangluowan Business District in Binhai New District of Tianjin City. It is the largest comprehensive equipment manufacturing enterprise of China, designed with integrated functions such as R&D, design, manufacturing, installation, storage, logistics and distribution for equipment and steel structure.

The main products include: marine engineering equipment, pressure vessel, steel structure for bridge, steel structure for high-rise building, steel structure for stadium and workshop, non-standardized equipment, de-dusting equipment, chemical equipment, processing and distribution of steel and international trade.
