OREANDA-NEWS. Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, met with Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen.

According to the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the key point of the meeting was discussion of issues concerning integrated development of the region.

Let us remind that within the scope of preparation for the preparation for the 100th anniversary of the republic in order to promote development of the region, the Government of the republic has prepared the comprehensive draft plan of social and economic development of the Republic of Karelia through to 2020 and the concept of Comprehensive Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia through to 2020 federal target program. Currently, both projects are submitted for consideration of federal ministries.

The comprehensive plan includes core events related to preparation and carrying out of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia in 2020; projects and events to take place in territory of the Republic of Karelia before 2020 within the framework of the state programs of the Russian Federation, federal target programs and other activities; projects and events supposed to take place in territory of the Republic of Karelia within the scope of the Comprehensive Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia through to 2020 federal target program; projects and events supposed to take place in territory of the Republic of Karelia before 2020 within the framework of the agreement with federal bodies of executive power and large companies comprising the State Commission on preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia.

Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has conceived some remarks on the concept of the federal target program according to which amendments are made to the project.
