OREANDA-NEWS.   Power Machines – Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers LLC (a joint venture between Power Machines and Toshiba Corporation of Japan) has been awarded a contract to supply ТРДН 63000/110 type power transformers for Lesnoy Ruchey 110 kV transformer substation being constructed in Vsevolozhsky District, Leningrad Oblast.

The project covers manufacture, supply and maintenance service for two transformers with a voltage class of 110 kV and a power of 63 MVA each.

Under the contract, Power Machines – Toshiba High-Voltage Transformers will supply equipment and provide installation supervision services in Q3 2014.

Lesnoy Ruchey 110 kV transformer substation, being constructed in a new community area of Leningrad Oblast, is intended to satisfy the growing demand for electricity of homes and businesses in the area. The new substation will provide electricity to about 100,000 people living in Saint Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast. The substation is expected to be put into service as early as 2015.
