Ingosstrakh Insures Liability of Bus Passenger Service Company
OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company branch in Rostov-on-Don entered into agreement with Glubokinskoye passazhirskoye avtotransportnoye predpriyatiye Municipal Unitary Enterprise (based at Gluboky settlement in Kamensky district of Rostovskaya region) for compulsory insurance of carrier's third-party liability for infliction of harm to passengers' life, health, and property (CTPL CI). One of major carriers in Rostovskaya region, the Company numbers 42 vehicles and carries around 1.6 million people a year.
The insurance program provides for an indemnification for damage to passengers' life, health, and property. Insurer's liability limits as established by the current laws shall be at least RUB 2.025 m in the event of passenger's death, at least RUB 2 m in the event of damage to health and RUB 23 thousand in the event of damage to property.
Carriers' obligation to insure their liability to passengers is regulated by the federal legislation. The federal Law No.67-FZ dated 6/14/2012 On Compulsory Carrier's Third-Party Liability Insurance against Infliction of Damage to Life, Health and Property of Passengers and on Procedure of Reimbursement for such Damage Inflicted During Subway Passenger Carriage came into effect as of January 1, 2013.
