OREANDA-NEWS. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company Branch in Bryansk won a tender and executed a contract of compulsory insurance liability of an owner of a hazardous object for injuries and damage caused by an accident at the hazardous facility with Bryanskavtodor OJSC. The limit of liability under the contract is RUB 540 m.

Insurance protection is provided for 27 facilities on 18 road sections in the Bryansk Region. The insurance program provides compensation for the damage caused to life, health and property of the victims of an accident at a hazardous facility, including the company's employees. In accordance with the effective legislation, limit of insurance compensation for damages to life and health of each victim is up to RUB 2 m.

Five other federal insurance companies participated in the tender along with Ingosstrakh Insurance Company OJSC.

The duty of owners of dangerous facilities to insure their liability to third parties is governed by federal law (№ 225-FZ of 27.07.2010). New rules of compulsory insurance of dangerous objects are in force from January 1, 2012 for commercial organizations and January 1, 2013, for state-owned organizations.
