Kazakhstan Introduces Principles of Yellow Rages Rule
OREANDA-NEWS. June 26, 2014. Agency for Competition Protection plans to give additional powers, including closure of state-owned enterprises compete with the private sector. This was reported by Minister of Regional Development Bolat Zhamishev at a briefing in LZC.
According to him, a resolution on introducing the bill to limitation issues of the state's participation in entrepreneurial activities has been adopted for consideration in Majilis during the cabinet meeting.
"This bill proposes the introduction in our country the principles of so-called "Yellow Rages Rule" from examples of Singapore, United States, Luxembourg, Norway. The principle is simple and hard - where the private sector can work, operation of state-owned enterprises should be limited at all," B. Zhamishev said.
The Minister noted that the planned innovations will strengthen the powers of the country's anti-monopoly agency.
