OREANDA-NEWS. Corum signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the mining sector with the international corporation ABB.

The signed instrument confirms the intentions of the parties to develop the partner relationship in supplies of the state-of-the-art technological solutions for the customers in the underground mining industry both in Ukraine and at CIS markets.

The Memorandum is planned to cover the cooperation in design, assembling and commissioning of the high-tech equipment, as well as the service personnel training.

The immediate projects stipulated in the memorandum will be implemented within the framework of outsourcing of the Corum components - equipping the mine winders produced by Corum with the ABB power trains, control systems and disk brakes.

“We are convinced in the synergic effect of the signed Memorandum on our companies. Together we will be able to attain greater efficiency in implementation of our tasks” - emphasized Vladymyr Merzlikin, Director of Corum Infrastructure Project Division.

“ABB Group is interested in developing markets and in hoisting equipment components manufactured by Corum”, - stated Dmytro Zhdanov, ABB Country Manager in Ukraine.
