OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2014. Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has launched a country program of cooperation for Kazakhstan. This statement has been made by Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev.

The country program is a tool in the practice of the OECD for cooperation with countries that do not belong to the organization. The country programs have been elaborated for the first time and for four countries only this year.

"We welcome the fact that Kazakhstan has become one of the four countries. It reflects the interest of OECD member states in work with Kazakhstan. We are grateful to our colleagues from the OECD for it," Yerbolat Dossayev said at a press conference.

Currently, the draft country program intends to implement joint initiatives in such areas as public administration, fiscal policy, competitive ability and improving the business environment, sustainable development. The list can be expanded. Final content of the program will be agreed before the end of this year, at signing of the document.

Kazakhstan has been actively cooperating with the OECD for several years. In particular, there is a constant interaction with 12 committees and structures of the Organization, Kazakhstan received official status in a number of structures.

The OECD includes 24 influential and economically developed countries in the world that form the top 30 most developed countries.
