UNIQLO to Open First Suburban Location in Melbourne at Chadstone
OREANDA-NEWS. UNIQLO Australia announces the location for its second Melbourne store - at Chadstone Shopping Centre in Victoria. Set to open its doors in the coming months, the store will be located within the iconic shopping mall fondly known as 'The Fashion Capital'.
The UNIQLO Chadstone location will be a large-scale retail presence with a sales floor of nearly 1,132 square meters. Designed to be a true showcase for the UNIQLO brand, it will offer visitors a full line-up of wearable UNIQLO apparel - heroeing the UNIQLO Spring / Summer '14 collection which was recently unveiled in Sydney to reveal linen, polos and the brand's internationally well-known AIRism range, as well as the brand's men's, women's, kids and babies collections.
The reveal of UNIQLO's second Melbourne location follows a very positive reaction to its first Australian store which opened at Emporium in April and the announcement of its first Sydney store at MidCity in the Pitt Street Mall - a testament to the brand's growing presence and commitment to the Australian market.
Since first opening its doors, crowds in Melbourne have flocked to the UNIQLO store at the new Emporium Melbourne, which stocks a diverse range of clothing options with affordability, functionality and quality at their core.
Australia stands as UNIQLO's 16th market globally - bringing a new retail experience to Australia with uniquely Japanese style customer service and affordable high quality garments.
Commenting on the announcement, Shoichi Miyasaka, CEO of UNIQLO Australia said, "Opening our first suburban Australian store at Victoria's 'Fashion Capital' is an exciting next step and a perfect fit for our brand. Chadstone is a brewing hub for Australian and international fashion, and we're thrilled to join the precinct by offering a UNIQLO retail experience and sharing our 'LifeWear' philosophy with Australian customers."
The expansion of UNIQLO stores in Australia continues the brand active growth in the Asia Pacific region. It follows UNIQLO stores debuts in Singapore (2009), Malaysia (2010), Taiwan (2010), Thailand (2011), the Philippines (2012), Indonesia (2013), and Melbourne (April 2014). UNIQLO views Australia as a key market in the Asia and Oceania region and remains focused on continuing its growth in the country.
