OREANDA-NEWS. According to operational data for 5 months of the year 2014, the income of JSC “Georgian Railway” made 189,7 million GEL which is 8,3% (14,5 million GEL) more than the index for the similar period of 2013.

The income from freight transportation increased by 8,1% (13,7 million GEL) and made 181,6 million, caused by the growth of income gained from dry freight transportations; In particular from transportations of industrial raw materials, sugar, ore, chemical and mineral fertilizers, ferrous metal and scrap metal.

Also, there is a growing dynamics in grain, cement and construction freights, relatively to same period of last year and also to year 2014. Income gained from other freight operations made 41 million GEL that is 18,1% more than an indexof the similar period of year 2013. The income from passenger transportation increased by 9,6% and made 6,2 million GEL.
