OREANDA-NEWS.  June 23, 2014. RZD International Ltd., a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and Alstom Transport Rus, signed a Memorandum of Mutual Understanding during the IX International Rail Business Forum "Strategic Partnership 1520.

The memorandum was signed in Sochi by Sergei Pavlov, CEO of RZD International Ltd., and Henri Poupart-Lafarge, the President of President Alstom Transport, on behalf of Alstom Transport Rus.

The document reflects the special importance the two sides attach to intensifying Franco-Russian relations in the economic, scientific and technical fields and in addition lays the foundations for mutually beneficial business cooperation and close cooperation in developing and applying innovative approaches to railway transport on international infrastructure markets.

The parties expressed their readiness to cooperate on implementing promising projects in foreign countries in the field of technical consulting and the design of modern infrastructure facilities and sharing advanced technologies etc.
