OREANDA-NEWS. EUROCEMENT group, which is the largest manufacturer of construction materials in Russia and the CIS, sponsored the V. Leontieva 6th International Festival of Cinema and TV programs for family viewing, entitled “From the Bottom of the Heart”, which was held from May 27 to June 1 in the Ulyanovsk region. The holding has been a general partner of the festival throughout its history and gives its annual support.

EUROCEMENT group implements a number of major charitable projects aimed at restoring Russian cultural traditions, and leads broad creative activities related to the development and support of education, theater, music and cinema. Among the completed projects are:

Long-term partnership with the Moscow International House of Music, in which the popular Stairway to the Stars project is being implemented

In March 2014 EUROCEMENT group became the general partner of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation

Support for the State Tretyakov Gallery, in which several major exhibitions were held, as well as a study of the works of George Dawe, the creator of the famous Military Gallery of the Winter Palace was done

Partnership with the Golden Mask Theatre Award. In 2012 the holding received the Golden Mask National Theatre Award for significant contributions to Russian culture and general creative activities related to the development and support of theatrical art

Support for the Russian Geographical Society. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EUROCEMENT Filaret Ilyich Galchev is on the RGS Board of Trustees.

It should be noted that the holding implements major charitable projects in the Ulyanovsk region - the region where Ulyanovskcement is located. For instance, in 2012, the construction of a sports and recreation complex in Novoulyanovsk was completed, and the project was implemented with financial support from EUROCEMENT group. This sports complex, including an indoor swimming pool and a small gym, opened its doors not only for employees but also for all city residents.

In 2013, the company also provided charitable assistance to the population of the Far Eastern Federal District, affected by floods, by shipping in over 20 tons of bagged cement.

Information about the “From the Bottom of the Heart” Film Festival

The V. Leontieva International Festival of Cinema and TV programs for family viewing “From the Bottom of the Heart” is conducted to identify the best Russian films for family viewing. Over its many years of existence, it has become a cult part in the life of the Ulyanovsk region.

In 2014, the festival program included more than 30 feature films, documentaries and animated films by Russian and foreign filmmakers. The festival was attended by Konstantin Raikin, Yegor Konchalovsky, Natalia Arinbasarova, Larisa Luzhina, Lyubov Tolkalina, Boris Tokarev, Lyudmila Gladunko, Alla Surikova, Ekaterina Vulichenko, and others.

The Grand Prix of the festival, which is the prize of the Governor - Chairman of the Government of the Ulyanovsk Region entitled “Honor and Dignity”, is annually awarded to the most outstanding figure in Russian cinema, which made a significant contribution to the creation and promotion of film and television programs for family viewing. This year's winner was Director Alla Surikova.

The winner of the People's Choice Award was People's Artist of the Russian Federation Larisa Golubkina.
