OREANDA-NEWS. According to the preliminary data of the Georgian National Statistics Office "GeoStat", in January-May 2014, Georgia's foreign trade turnover made USD 4498 million (excluding spontaneous trade), that is by 16% more than in the same period of 2013.

Over the reporting period, export made USD 1 175 million (by 17% more), while import – USD 3 322 million (by 15% more),

The negative trading balance of Georgia made USD 2 147 million, 48% of the total foreign trade turnover.
