OREANDA-NEWS. Our Company, together with other SCM assets, chose to transfer funds to the Joint Journalist Support Center instead of traditional greetings to journalists on their professional holiday.

Ukrtelecom JSC, Metinvest, DTEK, Corum Group, FUIB, HarvEastHolding, Vega, FC Shakhtar, Ukrainskiy Retail, UMG, and Rinat Akhmetov's Development of Ukraine Foundation, which are all part of SCM Group, will provide financial assistance to the Joint Journalist Support Center. This assistance will amount to 200 000 UAH. On the part of SCM Group this initiative is coordinated by Rinat Akhmetov's Development of Ukraine Foundation.

The allocated funds will be directed by the Joint Journalist Support Center for:

Evacuation of journalists' families from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, as well as Crimea; psychological rehabilitation of children in these families.

Medical assistance to journalists who suffered during their work in the Donbass.

Repair or restoration of the journalists' equipment that was damaged during the performance of their professional duties in the Donbass.

Joint Journalist Support Center was founded by the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the Independent Media Trade Union. Sergey Tomilenko is the Acting Head of the Center.
