OREANDA-NEWS.  In May, the export volume across Anhui reached 18.83 billion yuan, up 53.3%, hitting new high, according to Hefei Customs.

The statistics showed that in the first 5 months, the import and export volume across Anhui hit 121.57 billion yuan, up 6.9% year on year, taking 14th place nationwide and 2nd in Central China. Among which, the export volume reached 73.74 billion yuan ,down 1.2%, and import volume hit 47.83 billion yuan, up 22.3%.

The growth rate of export volume increased greatly in May. In Jan.-May,the export volume of mechanical and electrical products reached 38.05 billion yuan, up 15.7%. In May alone, the export volume of mechanical and electrical products hit 9.26 billion yuan, up 58.6%.

In the first 5 months, the import and export volume of ordinary trade reached 85.88 billion yuan, accouting for 70.6% of the total.
