NTT Com Named Japan Unified Communications-as-a-Service Provider
OREANDA-NEWS. NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within the NTT Group, announced today that it received the Japan Unified Communications-as-a-Service Provider of the Year award at the 2014 Frost & Sullivan Japan Excellence Awards held in Tokyo on June 10. The award was presented to the company that provided the best unified communication services in 2013.
The Frost & Sullivan Japan Excellence Awards, now celebrating their fourth year, recognize outstanding achievements in the past year. The awards are hosted by Frost & Sullivan, which employs 1,800 analysts and provides research and consulting services to over 300 different industries.
The Japan Unified Communication-as-a-Service Provider of the Year award was presented to NTT Com based on a thorough evaluation covering categories such as revenue growth, market share, customer acquisitions and solution innovations.
Ms. Jessie Yu, Industry Manager at Frost & Sullivan, said: "The UC-as-a-Service (UCaaS) market is one of the most fragmented and fast-growing segments in the enterprise communications market. Japanese enterprises are actively re-strategizing and implementing business continuity plans (BCP) in recent years, in which unified communication is one of the focus areas. A trusted third party with specialized expertise in UCaaS space is seen as important to business continuity and recovery."
"NTT Communications is one of the pioneers exploring business opportunities in the UCaaS marketplace. The company is well equipped to become a reliable and trusted third party providing enterprises with an innovative and broad range of services, such as conferencing services, mobility and BYOD. In 2013, on top of its market dominance, NTT Communications continued its remarkable growth and expansion through both organic and inorganic (M&A) strategies."
