OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2014. During a meeting in Geneva Minister of Social Policy Liudmyla Denisova and Director of International Labour Standards Department of the International Labour Office Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry discussed cooperation opportunities in reforming of the national labour legislation.

“Nowadays, when Ukraine has ascertained it has chosen the way towards the democratic and European society, issues of labour relations appear crucial,” Liudmyla Denisova emphasized during the meeting.

Besides, Liudmyla Denisova informed Cleopatra Doumbia-Henry that Ukraine continues activity directed to joining ILO’s Maritime Labour Convention of 2006. In particular, a draft Law of Ukraine “On the ratification of the Maritime Labour Convention of the International Labour Organization” has been designed and passes the stage of approval.
