OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus will receive a USD 1 billion loan from Russia's VTB within 10-14 days, the country's representative to the European Economic Commission, Sergei Rumas said.

“We have reached an agreement to receive a USD 1 billion bridge loan from VTB within 10-14 days,” Rumas said.

Rumas also said that the repayment date of a USD 450 million loan provided by Russia in December 2013 was prolonged until September. Minsk is waiting for Moscow to provide a USD 2 billion loan to repay both the USD 450 million tranche and the VTB loan.
