OREANDA-NEWS. June 11, 2014. Interagency task force headed by Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbai Karabalin visited Aktobe Region and they became familiar with the work of the largest oil producers and industrial companies in the region.

Interagency task force visited Zhanazhol GPP JSC "CNPC-Aktobemunaygaz". General Director of JSC "CNPC Aktobemunaygaz" Wang Dongjin told that currently second and third phases of GPP are under construction. Since the beginning of this project over 117 billion tenge has already been mastered, entering of the second stage is planned for the end of the first half, the third - at year-end.

Commissioning and full capacity of the plant will ensure the country's southern regions with purified gas, meeting international standards by Beyneu - Bozoi - Shymkentgas pipeline, and expanding export-oriented products and entering international gas market.

Akim of the Region Arkhimed Mukhambetov described development of the oil and gas industry of the Aktobe Region.

"Oil production amounted to more than 3 million tons or 87.5% compared to last year since the beginning of the year. The leadership of the oil companies JSC "CNPC Aktobe", LLP "KazakhOilAktobe", LLP "KMK Munay", LLP "Aman Munay", LLP "Tetis Aralgaz"are tasked to increase oil production in comparison with predicted volumes. Until the end of this year, it is expected to produce 7.8 million tons of oil," Akim said.
